Cancer Support Community of Greater St. Louis uplifts and strengthens people impacted by cancer by providing support, fostering compassionate communities, and breaking down barriers to care.
CSCSTL is an affiliate of the Cancer Support Community, an international non-profit organization, and the largest employer of psychosocial oncology mental health professionals in the United States. Cancer Support Community comprises a worldwide network of more than 50 affiliates, with more than 100 satellite locations, and online support services.
Founded in 1993, Cancer Support Community of Greater St. Louis offers programs and services to improve the quality of life for anyone impacted by cancer at any stage of the journey, including those in active treatment, those in remission, caregivers, the bereaved, family members, and friends. Our programming is centered around our 5 pillars of support, which include 1) Support; 2) Education; 3) Healthy Lifestyle/Stress Management; 4) Social Connections; and 5) Resource and Referral Materials.
To that end, CSCSTL offers comprehensive professional programs to help people with cancer and their family and friends manage the physical, psychological, and emotional challenges of a diagnosis. Health is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease. Cancer Support Community of Greater St. Louis is unique in providing no-cost, comprehensive psychosocial support to cancer patients and families in St. Louis so there’s never a financial barrier for anyone who needs cancer support.
