My name is Ty Pacheco, and I am the barn manager of Cape Fear Equine Rescue. We are a Horse Rescue located right here in Rocky Point, NC serving the 8 surrounding counties. We rescue horses from situations that are beyond their control. Whether it be abuse, neglect, owner surrender or other harsh doings. Being an equine rescue, and a nonprofit, we solely are supported by our community, local businesses, and personal supporters.
In September 2018, the rescue came to a halt, suffering severe damage during Hurricane Florence. With 10 feet of water on our property and in our barn, we were unable to continue our mission. We have since relocated to a new property that we purchased in Rocky Point, and reopened in March 2022. Even though we are open, we still have big projects to complete (shelter, well, septic, etc).
To help with our rebuild, we will be holding our 8th Annual Quarter Auction. We are asking for donations of gift cards, gift baskets, items that represent your business, etc. These may be of any monetary value. This event will help our rescue, as well as, advertise your business.
