The Carole Kai Charities, Inc's mission is to organize and produce, through community participation, the Great Aloha Run. Proceeds from this event financially assist worthy non-profit programs and special projects of selected charitable organizations serving the community needs in the State of Hawaii.
Established in 1984, over the past thirty-nine years, the Carole Kai Charities, Inc. has been producing the Great Aloha Run, and 8.15-mile foot race that starts at historic Aloha Tower in Downtown Honolulu and ends at the Aloha Stadium in Halawa. To date, the event has raised more than $16 million that is given to over 150 non-profit health and human service organizations and community groups serving the people of Hawaii.
