While there are many low-income students enrolling in college, statistics show that they graduate at lower rates than their peers. Carpe Mundi is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that supports college students from low-income families to access mentorship, scholarship and experiential global learning. Students are provided with a scholarship, mentorship, a learning community of their peers, and an educational experience abroad earning 24 credits from PSU. Through our program, students grow more self-confident and are empowered to make positive change personally, for their communities in Portland, and for the future as a whole.
