The mission of the Carroll Show Choirs is to provide exceptional experiences in music education for the students of Carroll High School.Carroll High School’s Minstrel Magic is in their 38th year of performing. Made up of students in grades 9 –12, they have earned a reputation as one of the consistently excellent show choirs in the Midwest. In the past ten years they have won numerous Grand Championship titles, been honored to be FAME Nationals Finalists, and consistently placed in the top five at the Indiana State Show Choir Championship.
Carroll High School’s Select Sound has been performing on the contest circuit for the past 30years. Made up of girls in grades 9 –12, they have earned a reputation as one of the consistently excellent all women’s show choirs in the Midwest. In the past ten years they have won numerous Grand Championship titles, been honored to be FAME Nationals Finalists, and consistently placed in the top five at the Indiana State Show Choir Championship.
This course provides students with opportunities to develop musicianship and specific performance skills through ensemble and solo singing. There will be after school/evening mandatory rehearsals from time to time in preparation for performances. As a co-curricular class/activity student grades are affected by after school rehearsal, performance participation, and effort in the same manner as class.
