Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) improves the lives of children who expereince child abuse and neglect in Bastrop, Fayette and Lee Counties by providing CASA trained Advocates to support children and families involved in the child welfare system.  CASA Volunteers advocate for child abuse/neglect visit the chilren who are in the foster care system to advocate not only in the court system but also educationally, medically and social/emotionally.  CASA Advocates are appointed by the court system as the Guardian At-Litem and report to the judge regarding the children needs and make Best Interest reommendations to the court, while their parents engage in the child welfare system to work services.
