CASA of Middlesex County is a non profit organization that trains volunteers to advocate for children in foster care. When a child gets removed from their home due to abuse or neglect, we assign that child a volunteer advocate who visits the child, follows up with the case, interacts with all parties involved and submit reports to the family court judge that makes recommendations with the purpose of improving that child's life. Some recommendations might be therapeutic services, enrollment in extra curricular actiities, follow up on much needed appointments and evaluations and anything else that might improve that child's situation. Last year we successfully advocated for 199 children in foster care throughout Middlesex County, NJ and over 98% of our court recommendations on behalf of foster children were approved by the family court judge.
