Catholic Charities of the Texas Panhandle serves the community in many ways through several different programs. First and foremost, the Interfaith Hunger Project assists the elderly with food by supplying eligible clients with healthy, nutritious options monthly. Clients are allowed to shop for their own items rather than the way it's done at traditional food banks where the items are chose for them.

Catholic Charities of the Texas Panhandle also helps expectant and new families with pregnancy tests, prenatal classes, parenting education, mental health coaching and material assistance such as formula, diapers and clothing. Refugee resettlement is also a very big program designed to help refugees who have had to flee their own country due to threat of death or persecution. Our refugee resettlement program helps clients legally weave their way through the system to better acclimate themselves to American culture with English classes, helping them find jobs and even helping them through the process of becoming American citizens. We also have three properties we rent to low income individuals to help them get on their feet. Our eyecare program assists individuals who may put off eye examinations or in need of eyeglasses.
