The Center for Health and Learning (CHL) is a Vermont 501(c)3 non-profit organization and a leader and collaborator in promoting health and education throughout the state. CHL is the parent organization of the Vermont Suicide Prevention Center (VTSPC), and the host of the Umatter® educational suite of programs for suicide prevention and awareness. In addition, CHL promotes mental health and substance misuse prevention.
Our work supports creating a healthier, safer environment for families, schools, and communities throughout the state and beyond through our collaboration with thought leaders, including mental health providers, educators, policymakers, and community leaders.
Since its inception, CHL has served more than 20,000 professionals and community members. We have created partnerships with and provide services to more than 100 cooperating agencies and school systems to promote healthy and safe schools and communities.
