The Center for Leadership Development's purpose is to expose our youth to vibrant programs and experiences that emphasize and promote the core CLD Principles for Success: character development, educational excellence, leadership effectiveness, community service and career achievement.
These five core principles and values represent areas where empirical statistical data show many minority youth failing or lacking guidance and instruction in these fundamental areas, therefore CLD exposes these youth and their parents, to vibrant, sunstantive, innovative programs that specifically and perpectually emphasize, promote and encourage exploration, growth and development of these five principles.
CLD's primary objective is to establish for youth of central Indiana, one of the country's premiere and most effective youth development programs designed to guide youth in their formative years toward high achievement and success. At its core, CLD is dedicated to the goals of offering a holistic youth development experience that inspires, trains, challenges, guides, and encourages youth to believe in themselves, set high, meaningful goals, overcome negative peer pressure and other barriers to success, work extremely hard, attend college and graduate.
