CENTRAL VERMONT YOUTH HOCKEY
Central Vermont Youth Hockey was founded in 2022 when BYSA, CVSA, HYHA, and NAHA announced their youth hockey club merger. CVYH is a non-profit organization.

CVYH Black Bear hockey is open for public registration and serves youth athletes throughout Central Vermont and surrounding areas. All players must be US Citizens or as approved by the Board of Directors to be able to participate.

CVYH is an affiliate USA Hockey and the Vermont State Amateur Hockey Association (VSAHA).  USA Hockey is the governing body of amateur hockey in the US from local youth hockey associations up through the US Olympic Team. The bylaws of the association are available on our website and available upon request

The Black Bears offer programs to youth athletes ages 3 – 14.  Programs range from Intro to Hockey to competitive-level travel programs.  The Black Bears play at Kreitzberg Arena in Northfield, VT, the Central Vermont Memorial Civic Center in Montpelier, VT, the Ice Center in Waterbury, VT, and at the B.O.R. Ice Arena in Barre, VT.

The association is primarily funded by player registration fees.  The association subsidizes the cost for the individual players through the various fundraising efforts done throughout the year.
