“We Provide the Highest Quality Services to
the Children and Adults in our Agency”
MISSION
The mission of the Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County, (CP Nassau) is to (a) affect positively the quality of life in persons with cerebral palsy, others with severe disabilities and multiple service needs, and the families of both, and (b) prevent cerebral palsy and minimize its effects.
POPULATION SERVED
The CP Nassau’s services are not limited to those who have cerebral palsy. Our “consumers,” (a term we use because we believe in empowering the disabled to choose where they get their care) come to us with a variety of developmental disabilities. They seek CP Nassau’s dedicated staff, state-of-the-art medical facility and inclusive therapeutic community to meet their medical and social needs. The CP Nassau’s dedication to meeting these needs is comprehensive and lifelong. A highly trained, experienced staff provides on-site services, and it is not uncommon for consumers to use the agency’s services from birth to adulthood and beyond. Our services are offered to anyone who needs our help in Nassau, Suffolk, Queens, and New York City regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, language or physical ability. The CP Nassau is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt not-for-profit organization.
