At Charitable Ventures, we incubate innovative solutions for the health and well-being of our communities. We work with all stakeholders to strengthen communities and address critical social issues by:

Charitable Ventures is the fiscal sponsor of Abrego Education Scholars Foundation which is the focus of this request. Abrego is hosting a golf tournament to support their mission to empower Hispanic students to pursue higher education and graduate from a University by providing financial scholarships and student mentorship.
In California there is a strong demand for an educated workforce. It is reported that by 2030, forty percent of jobs in California will require at least a bachelor’s degree. Already, more than 50% of students enrolled in K-12 are Latinos and economically disadvantaged. The benefits of higher education are well documented. The funds raised through the Abrego golf tournament will be used to provide scholarships to Southern California Hispanic Students attending Community Colleges or 4-Year Universities.
The vison of Abrego Education Scholars Foundation is to nspire a larger percentage of Hispanic youth to apply for and graduate from a 4-Year University across the country. Their greater vision is to mentor Hispanic students and inspire them to continue with their education and attain graduate degrees, with the hope and with proper support, that they can prepare young professionals to serve in leadership positions in business and the community.
