The Drew Center for AIDS Research Education and Services (Drew CARES) is focused on fighting the HIV epidemic through research, education, prevention and treatment. Our work aims to empower under-resourced communities and provide them with resources and information necessary for healthier lives. We work to identify the specific needs, resources and challenges within the Los Angeles community. Additionally Drew CARES allows researchers to work together with communities of color to address health disparities. The organization has fostered groundbreaking collaborations with community-based organizations, governmental entities, and academic institutions in the U.S., including UCLA, UCSF, USC, and the JWCH Institute, Inc.
