Charlestown Playhouse is a non-profit, cooperative, play-based nursery school and kindergarten serving Phoenixville and the surrounding areas. The school emphasizes learning through child-directed play, the importance of supporting social and emotional development in young children, the beauty and value of nature, and a strong sense of community.

Through the cooperative model and our fundraising, we can care for our historic property and unique play yard, offer educational resources to the larger community, and provide financial access to high-quality early childhood education for many families who could not otherwise afford such a program.
