PURPOSE: Charlottesville Waldorf School is a small independent school serving children from toddler through 8th grade in Charlottesville Va. Our Waldorf curriculum focuses on meeting each child at their developmental level, inspiring a life-long love of learning through arts, music, and hands-on experiential academics. Our school has a mission to rejuvenate the traditional Waldorf curriculum for the 21st century, demonstrating a commitment in our community to courage, integrity, and a sense of service. Our students spend a lot of time in nature, playing, working, and caring for our campus, and that ethic is reflected also in our teachers and parents who demonstrate a strong commitment to environmental and social justice.
WHOM IT SERVES: All children from the surrounding areas are encouraged to apply. The Charlottesville Waldorf School (Charlottesville https://www.cwaldorf.org/ ) fundraising committee is asking for donations for their 40th Anniversary fundraising drive. Our fundraising helps us support the general functioning of our school as well as offer tuition assistance.
HOW: Students at Charlottesville Waldorf School are encouraged to develop their talents and there is more understanding regarding individual student's progress in learning. Emphasis is placed on developing one's good community characteristics, learning how to work together and caring for one another.
