The Chautauqua County Rural Ministry was created in the early 1950's to meet the unmet needs in this community. Each program was created with serious consideration of already existing programs. For over seven decades, the Rural Ministry has provided the basic needs of foods, clothing and shelter to the less fortunate and those in crisis situations.The Rural Ministry is your agency reaching out to those in WNY that need a hand up, not a hand out. Who are these people? They are your neighbors. Some have lost jobs due to company reductions, some face personal crisis, some have to help our farmers and find no work. Some are subjects of neglect, abuse or deteriorating health. All are in need of a little help and CCRM is here to provide that help. We offer an emergency food pantry 5 days a week and the Friendly Kitchen serves 2 hot meals and one take out meal 6 days a week. We serve over 6000 meals a month.
