The purpose of the Child Advocacy Center (CAC) is to provide a coordinated, collaborative, and culturally competent multidisciplinary team (MDT) in response to allegations of child abuse. Members of the MDT include law enforcement, child protective services, victims services, legal, and more. The CAC provides a trauma-informed, child-friendly setting that is physically and psychologically safe for children of all ages. Together, CAC staff work with our collaborative partners in the MDT to safeguard the affected child from future abuse and support their path towards emotional healing and recovery. The CAC offers mental health counseling, victim advocacy, forensic interviews and coordinates with local medical services.
