I am writing to you on behalf of the Chesapeake Police Foundation, and an organization that is and has been committed towards community and police unity for the past 20 years. The Chesapeake Police Foundation financially supports and assists with several annual and pilot programs among our ever growing community from scholarships, summer camps for our communities children, "Back to School Book Bag Give-aways", Turkey instead of Tickets, Senior and Junior Police Academies along with a Police Expolorer Program.

The Police Explorer program is a governed post ranging in ages from 15 to 18 years of age. Our organization provides for all their basic needs, uniform, travel, and transportation expenses. There is no cost to ur young members or their families. Additionally, the Chesapeake Police Foundation provides specialized training and equipment to supplement our City's reduced resources and budget constraints to meet our community's safety and security.
