Chicago Cat Rescue is an all volunteer, foster based, licensed not-for-profit rescue organization. CCR was founded in 2006 by a small group of willful women, who wanted to make a difference in the lives of homeless cats in our area.  Since then, we have worked to rescue and provide care to scores of homeless cats and kittens. 

Our cats come to us off the streets of Chicago, from homes where they were left behind, and from facilities that seek our help.  Our cats receive both routine and necessary medical care.  They are placed in private foster homes, where they receive loving care and high quality nutrition.  With the assistance of our foster parents, we learn about our each of our cats' unique personalities and temperaments, so that we are able to place them in permanent homes to which they are well suited and that meet their needs.  Our goal isn't just to find homes, it's to obtain GOOD homes.

We want to stop the cycle of animal homelessness in our community and in our country.  This mission begins with caring for needy animals, but it also involves the education of our cats' human companions.  RESCUE, EDUCATE, FOSTER, ADOPT. Chicago Cat Rescue is a small (but mighty) Chicago based cat rescue!
