My name is Katee Evans. I am the Program Coordinator for Chicago Volunteer Doulas, inc. We are a birth justice organization providing comprehensive doula support with a focus on vulnerable communities in the Chicago-land area.  A doula is someone trained to support a woman through labor. The goal of our doulas is to help women and their families achieve the childbirth experiences they envision. Our goals include providing continuous labor support, provide childbirth education, breastfeeding, and postpartum support, recruiting trained and supportive doulas, providing ongoing training and mentoring for the Chicago Volunteer Doula, building a network between Chicago Volunteer Doulas and healthcare providers, and having the ability to support all pregnant people prenatally and during labor, birth, and postpartum with complete compassion and care, regardless of their reproductive choices or history.

We have our annual Summer Soiree event where we'll host a silent auction and raffle to benefit doulas and birthing families in Chicago.

On behalf of the board and staff, we humbly request an in-kind donation from you of 5 MaMassage gift cards to distribute at our annual Summer Soiree as auction gifts.  This will allow us to help reach our goal of 21k and maintain doula support for our vulnerable populations across Chicago-land area.

Your generosity is sincerely appreciated, and we hope to depend on your support.
