The vision of Chico Housing Action Team is a community where everyone has access to safe, suitable housing they can afford.
Our mission is to provide affordable housing for people who lack housing and to provide supportive services to enable residents to maintain long term housing stability.
Chico Housing Action Team is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that serves the Chico community. CHAT partners with governmental agencies and local community partners to transition people out of homelessness and keep people housed. CHAT currently houses over 270 individuals and families in scattered site housing within the City of Chico. CHAT provides all residents with affordable housing and social services, including a food program, furniture program, home maintenance and volunteer-led servces to ensure long term success in housing.
