The mission of the Child Advocacy Center of McHenry County is to reduce trauma to child victims of abuse through coordinating a timely, comprehensive, and multidisciplinary response in reported cases of child sexual abuse and severe physical abuse.

 The Child Advocacy Center of McHenry County (CAC) provides advocacy and forensic interview services to children under the age of eighteen who have witnessed a violent crime or are victims of sexual or severe physical abuse.  In recent year, we served 458 children from our community.  We work closely with Law Enforcement, Child Protection Services, the State’s Attorney’s Office, and Medical and Mental Health providers throughout the investigation process.  We are a completely non-profit agency and request no fees for services.
