Children First provides HOPE and HEALING through counseling and education for all ages, emphasizing the prevention of and recovery from physical and emotional abuse.
Our agency was founded in 1977 and for over 40 years, our focus has been on decreasing the incidents of family violence and child maltreatment. We do this by providing exceptional therapeutic services. All of our professional counselors have attained a Masters degree or higher in their field. We dedicate ourselves to providing the highest quality care, as well as continuity of care. Our center is one of only a few in North Texas to offer Play Therapy to children as young as three, from low-income households. Our approach to ending the problem of family violence is a holistic one. We serve individuals and families in our General Counseling Program and also offer multiple psycho-education groups to enrich the individual and family.
