With a mission to help children living in poverty to succeed and thrive, Children’s Aid provides comprehensive supports to children, youth, and their families in some of the most under-resourced neighborhoods in New York City. We are a solutions-driven organization, and we know what it takes to ensure children grow up strong, healthy, and ready to succeed in school and life: excellent education and health care, social-emotional support, and strong, stable families.
Rooted in a rich 169-year history of innovation, Children’s Aid has long been anchored in the belief that poverty cannot be overcome with a single service, or at a single point in time. As a multi-service agency, we employ a coordinated, holistic strategy that serves children and their families at every stage of development—from cradle through college and career—and in every critical setting—home, school, and community. As one of the preeminent child-focused organizations in the country, Children’s Aid also leverages deep expertise in field leadership, public policy, and technical assistance to integrate complex, often isolated, systems toward whole-child solutions. Our vision of the future is one in which all children have access to the opportunities and supports they need to realize their fullest potential and lead successful, healthy, and productive lives.
