The Children's Museum of Richmond's mission is to inspire growth in all children by engaging families in learning through play. Since 1981 the Children’s Museum, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, has provided interactive programs, exhibits, and services for children that integrate early childhood development, parent education, and literacy. As the first cultural organization that many children visit, CMoR creates innovative learning experiences for all children that complement the educational efforts made in school systems, child care centers, and homes.
Since its inception, nearly three million children, ages 0-8, and their families from throughout Virginia have explored interactive, educational experiences that have stimulated their interest in art, science, and the humanities.
