Christ Episcopal School (CES), in Rockville, Maryland, is the premier educational outreach ministry of Christ Episcopal Church that pursues academic excellence and the formation of loving and compassionate young people. Our school's mission and culture are captured in the slogan "Inspiring Minds to Learn, Hearts to Love, and Hands to Serve". Academic excellence, respect, and a passion to serve are the inspiration for our community. At CES, every student (preschool through 8th grade) and parent are a priority, and every interaction is rooted in our CES promise: to nurture students to become kind, confident, well-rounded individuals prepared to contribute to their community and thrive personally, spiritually, and academically.

The CES faculty focuses on helping each student develop a strong academic foundation. Class sizes are small, allowing students to receive individual attention, meet the challenge of high academic standards, and bulid self-confidence in a supportive and accepting environment. Hands-on learning opportunities are a hallmark of our school. All CES students also participate in school-wide outreach programs that teach children the value of giving back and focus on character development. Our curriculum and service opportunities reinforce one another, leading to deeper reflection and learning. By engaging them in service to local, regional, and global communities, we connect our students to a purpose larger than themselves. Students are also supported to follow our Cardinal Character program that highlights traits such as responsibility, generosity, kindness, perseverence, and more.

Christ Episcopal School celebrates the wide range of diversity among our students and their families, and welcomes students and families of every gender, ethnic, racial, sexual, religious, and socio-economic background or identity. One of the top priorities at CES is to continue to recruit and retain students from diverse backgrounds who can benefit from, and contribute to, the wide range of experiences and perspectives that CES can offer. Sixty percent of the student body represents students with varying economic and religious backgrounds who have ethnic and national backgrounds that include the following countries: United States, India, Ethiopia, Philippines, Russia, Ukraine, China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, and a variety of other African, South and Central American, and Middle Eastern countries.

"The little school with a big heart", we instill a respect for learning and for people that serves our students for the rest of their lives.
