Christina Cultural Arts Center (CCAC) was founded in 1945. The mission is empower underserved communities through arts education. We work aggressively to change the trajectory of children's lives by making affordable arts education, career pathways, live performances and gallery exhibitions accessible to urban youth and underserved communities in a safe, family-centered environment.

CCAC uses after school programs in music, dance, drama, visual arts and literature to develop artistic talents, educational aptitudes and life skills in our students. The students develop social-emotional intelligence, improve academic proficiency, and build the protective assets they need to be better prepared to lead productive lives. CCAC also provides an after school violence prevention program that promotes trauma healing and provide strategies through arts integration. Located in Wilmington’s Downtown Creative District, CCAC provides high quality arts experiences on site and advocates for and provides arts learning in public schools and community centers.

CCAC operates in 2 of the states most underserved census tracts which inlcludes zip codes: 19801, 19802, 19805 and parts of 19702. We are the state's only affordable performing and visual arts community center where we use income to determine fees for our patrons that fit their family budgets. No child or family is turned away due to their economic circumstances.
