Citizen Advocacy was founded by concerned people in our communities to help ensure the well-being of our neighbors with disabilities. Our coordinators initiate one-to-one matches between a person with a disability and someone in their community who commits to promoting, protecting and defending their rights and interests. Many of these relationships last a lifetime. Our office currently supports 40 matches and continues to make new ones while also supporting these existing relationships. Your contribution will help stories like those below to continue to happen in our communities: 

Helped create and manage a budget

Included their partners in holidays plans

Obtained resources to lower monthly expenses

Dined out at lots of favorite spots around town

Obtained a new computer

Dealt with hospitals and doctors, as well as rehab facilities

Repaired TVs, wheelchairs and crutches

Facilitated rental payments

Taken vacations together

Attended neighborhood celebrations

Stayed at the advocate’s home for a week to celebrate the holidays
