The Navasota Public Library is the city library for Navasota as well as the county library for all Grimes County residents. We are a relatively small public library that serves a diverse demographic. Our mission is to support our community by enriching lives, sparking curiosity, and encouraging lifelong learning. We do this through services, such as book checkout, community programming, digital literacy education, business services (copying, faxing, notary), computer usage, and more!

Our service population is an estimated 8,417 residents. Nearly 16% of the population is 65 and over, and 30% are individuals under 18. These two demographics make up the majority of our library patrons. Providing support for our community is a top priority, and we are dedicated to offering services and programs that fill social and civic gaps within our community.

We are able to provide services through city funding, grants, community support and donations. Our community has been a vital resource in ensuring program success and we strive to honor their commitment to the library with the quality programs and services.
