The City of Tyler is located in the heart of the East Texas Pineywoods, just two hours east of the Dallas metroplex. It is an economic, medical and tourist hub in the northeast Texas region. We are known as the "Rose Capital of America" and have top-quality customer service for our citizens. Our mission is to be a results-oriented service organization with a focus on responsiveness, efficiency, sound financial management and quality service to our citizens. Our vision is to be the standard of performance excellence in local government.
The City of Tyler has a population of 107,192, but we have hundreds of thousands of visitors every year for sporting events, conferences, Tyler Pounds Regional Airport, concerts and tourist attractions such as our Tyler Municipal Rose Garden, Goodman-LeGrand Museum, Liberty Hall and more.
