City Union Mission is an evangelical Christian ministry committed to sharing the gospel and meeting the spiritual, physical and emotional needs of men, women and children who are poor or homeless.
One of the programs that City Union Mission offers is the Vanderberg Youth Center (VYC). The VYC exists to help break the cycle of poverty in families and the community. We do this by empowering students to grow socially, educationally and spiritually. In 2022 we served 102 students. Each summer, we offer a free summer camp for students staying in our center, as well as the community around us. Our summer camp is a time where a kid can just be a kid, and not have to worry about the life circumstances that have brought them to City Union Mission.
