The CJR Memorial Foundation is operated in memory of Caleb Joseph Regenski who passed away very suddenly 8 years ago at age 2 1/2 from brain cancer. Our 501(c)(3) raises substantial funds for the Ronald McDonald House and pioneering brain cancer research at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. We are also partnered with the Make-A-Wish Foundation with a goal of granting two "Disney World" wishes for critically ill children in 2016.  Last year we took a new direction and built a beautiful memorial playground in Hawley, PA. The playground is handicapped accessible and caters to a wide range of children's ages and abilities. CJR was awarded over $230,000 in grant money for our project by the Department of Community and Economic Development! We are independently continuing to fundraise for upgraded surface materials (a poured rubber base that strollers and wheelchairs can easily use) and accessories including walkways, lighting, handicapped accessible bathrooms and more. Our largest event is a golf outing scheduled for April 18th where over 150 golfers and 250 dinner guests will eagerly participate in a silent auction/raffle. This is our seventh annual golf outing. We've had wonderful support and response in the past and hope to make this event particularly exciting so that our fundraising goals are achieved.  The CJR Memorial Foundation Golf Invitational was recently featured in a book by auhor Joel Zuckerman titled "Golfers Giving Back" as one of the top charity golf events in the U.S.  We are proud of this recognition and look forward to making the 2016 event particulary successful!
