Clothing Clark County's mission is to empower kids with the tools they require to propel themselves towards excellence. Clothing Clark County was founded by May Kane in 2022. The organization partners with local Title 1 Middle Schools.  The unique program, The Exact Path Incentive Program, was designed by educators of CCSD. A team of administrators, along with her, developed a program aimed at motivating students to achieve their academic goals by offering them an exciting incentive- brand new shoes. The Clark County School District requires all students to complete a MAP assessment three times a year. The formative assessment ascertains students' proficiency for each grade-level standard. MAP data is uploaded to Exact Path, a program purchased by CCSD. Students work in the Exact Path program on their math and English deficiencies based on their MAP Scores. Clothing Clark County implemented a friendly competition within each grade level. Whichever homeroom, in that grade level, that accrues the most hours in the Exact Path program wins a brand-new pair of shoes for each of the students in the classroom. This encourages students to sign on daily in the program during school as well as work on the program after school hours. The logged in hours helps students better prepare for their upcoming MAP test and provides confidence in test taking. In September of 2023, this program was implemented into a local Title 1 School, Cram Middle School. On the December 2023 MAP test assessment, Math scores went up 15%, with a usual school year goal of 10%. In just a little under four months, the program aided in exceeded the school goal which. Not only did the proficiency rate go up, but 59% of the student's showed growth from the September MAP assessment.
