My niece, Bailey, was three years old when she felt the “bite” of Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease (CMT). First, we noticed her feet turning inward. Not long after, she began falling several times a day while walking and, eventually she was dropping to the ground without warning because her ankles couldn’t support her.

Bailey got her first pair of ankle-foot orthosis (braces) when she was four. She still wears them every day and, now at the age of 10, she takes daily medication to help manage the constant nerve pain in her legs and wrists. My niece is just one of the millions of people worldwide who suffer from CMT, and these are just some of the symptoms they have to
deal with.

Help us raise awareness and fight this debilitating disease—partner with us as an in-kind donor for the 4th Annual Bailey’s Beat the Bite 5K! The event takes place on Saturday, March 28, 2020, at Cañada del Oro Riverfront Park in Oro Valley. Together, we can bring awareness of CMT to the Tucson community and raise funds to research a cure for this all-too-prevalent disease no one’s ever heard of.

Bailey’s Beat the Bite 5K is partnering with the Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association (CMTA), the premier not-for-profit organization (EIN #22-2480896) representing people with CMT.

Increase your brand recognition, show your commitment to the local community, your customers and employees, and join us in the fight against CMT—become a donor today!

We hope we can count on you to help support Bailey and Take a Bite Out of CMT!
