CNE Cares (Community Alliance for Resources, Engagement & Support) is a non-profit agency serving Clermont, Brown counties and surrounding areas. We are focused on eliminating the stigma surrounding food insecurity by educating our community and serving our families with love, grace, and kindness. Our meal-based model functions similarly to many subscription-based delivery services - all ingredients are provided along with the recipes for our clients. It is important to us that we send our clients home with items we would serve our own families and recipes that we would use ourselves.
In addition to serving families weekly in our drive-thru pantry, we serve area seniors through our senior boxes. We also provide power packs to Clermont Northeastern Elementary and Middle School students. These packs have two self-serve breakfasts and lunch items and snacks for the weekend. We serve Clermont Northeastern High School with snacks in multiple classrooms and with PBIS toiletry & hygiene items for both middle & high school.
During the fall we support the Back to School Blast with free school supplies & fill backpacks with supplies for students in need. Over Thanksgiving, we partner with Crossroads and the Turkey Federation to distribute over 150 full Thanksgiving meals to families in our community. In December, we organize adopt-a-family for multiple families who need extra help during the holidays with gifts as well as holiday meals in December.
We have multiple pantry partners that we have worked with since 2020 to grow our pantry from the trunks of SUVs to the operation we are today. We are grateful for these organizations and our incredible community which continues to support our efforts!
