Founded in 1989, our affiliate seeks to improve the community by eliminating substandard housing in Coles County and ensuring safe, decent, affordable housing is a matter of conscience and action. Our comprehensive Affordable Housing Program includes housing creation, partner family selection and support, homeowner education and mortgage management & servicing. Together with our donors, partners, volunteers and leaders, we have created homes for 42 low-income families in Coles County. That's more than 120 individuals that now have safe, decent, affordable housing. Our families in turn have contributed more than $742,624 in property taxes supporting our schools, our city services, and our local economy.
