College-Montrose Children’s Place (CMCP) is a prominent non-profit and charitable family support organization. We offer Family Resource and EarlyON Child and Family Centre programs that have been deeply engaged in asset-based community development within the Downtown West Toronto area since its inception in 1983. Founded by a visionary group of immigrants who recognized the necessity for inclusive and diverse programs, CMCP has steadfastly worked to provide an array of activities and support services for children, parents, and caregivers during the crucial developmental phase from pre-conception to school entry.

Located at the heart of the community, CMCP’s main site and office operates out of 180 Artscape Young Place on Shaw Street, proudly standing as the largest free and accessible space exclusively dedicated to early learning and family support in downtown Toronto. A striking aspect of CMCP's engagement lies in its commitment to inclusivity, as it mirrors the diversity of its community participants in its programs, a testament to its responsiveness to local needs. We currently provide rich, early learning environments at 4 (four) directly operated and 4 Purchase of Service sites, which serve 4,000 families annually and a weekly community food bank that serves over 250 households each week.

While CMCP's offerings are designed to cater universally, the organization's values underscore the priority of serving vulnerable and isolated families. This group encompasses a range of circumstances, such as newcomers, single parents, those requiring additional support, and families living in poverty. CMCP extends its services to families from diverse cultural backgrounds, reaching out to them through eight strategically located centers in downtown-west Toronto.
