The Columbia Special Education Parent Teacher Association is a local 501(c)(3) PTA that provides support and resources to families and educators of children with special needs to the entire Columbia Public School District. CoMO SEPTA has the benefit of supporting students through educational opportunities, developing after school social activities with peer mentors, grants to teachers, workshops, resources, fostering inclusion and being a collective voice for special education needs.
SEPTA educates the community about different abilities, bring awareness to their needs in our schools and most importantly brings awareness to the importance of inclusion.
