About the Nonprofit

We are a group of volunteers dedicated to providing a safe, loving, and permanent home for all companion animals. We believe that a world that shows empathy toward animals will show more compassion and tolerance towards each other. The Columbus Humane Society os a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization funded through tax-deductable donations. We do not operate a sheltering facility. Inistead we recruit fosters "parents" who take dogs and cat or puppies and kittens into their private homes until permanent, forever homes  are found. In our area there are many unwanted, starving and abandonded animals. Many times we are a 'last hope' for these animals. One of our main ways we help the community is by providing a low/cost spay neuter program.
