Our organization is dedicated to assisting families and childcare providers in obtaining education, and quality, affordable childcare to help children and families reach their greatest potential. We are looking to hold a fundraiser this Spring to not only help spread awareness of our organization and mission while campaigning for increased childcare enrollment in our community. Funds raised will help aid the community events we hold throughout the year for low-income families and their children, such as community baby showers for low-income families and expectant mothers and our Diaper Bag-to-Backpacks initiative where we supply various, age-appropriate items to low-income children. Profits made from the fundraiser will also help fund some of our programs that assist families with childcare resources, including obtaining and paying for their childcare needs and giving books and sensory toys to childcare providers for the children they care for.
Community Child Care Connection works directly with over 2,500 low-income families to ensure their childcare needs are met for children birth to 13. We work with over 750 childcare providers and daycare centers within our service delivery area of nine counties in Central Illinois to ensure they are educated in best childcare practices as well as child health and safety basics and First Aid/CPR, with a goal of ensuring caretakers are going above and beyond minimum IDCFS requirements and offering the kind of care to children of low-income households that give them the opportunity to succeed and thrive. Each year we give over $150,000 in grants and scholarships to childcare providers to further their professional development and improve their quality of care.
