We are a nonprofit that focuses on keeping those with mental illness living, working, and thriving in the community.  What does that mean?  Our clients are the underserved populations of Chicago on the North and West Sides, mostly on Medicaid/Medicare.  They have lived in nursing homes and hospitals where they were not treated to remain in the community, but to stay in those facilities.  Once out of those facilities, they come to us where we manage medication, work on socialization, teach essential life skills, help with employment and housing, etc.  We also serve children and youths and are the preferred vendor for Chicago Public Schools.  We are in the schools, in people's homes, and in the office, as well as telehealth brought about by the pandemic.  The pandemic has made our services even more indispensable as rates of mental health crises are going up and the instances of mental health are increasing.  According to the Mayo clinic, 20% of Illinoians are facing a serious mental illness, with oor without treatment.
