The Community Development Council of Quinte, located in Belleville, Ontario, is an organization that truly cares about the well-being of our community. As a non-profit and charitable organization, our mission is clear: to enhance the lives of individuals and families in Hastings & Prince Edward Counties.

One of the core pillars of our work is food security. We firmly believe that no one should ever go hungry or have their access to nutritious food hindered by social or economic barriers. That's why our food security programs are dedicated to ensuring that everyone in our community has access to an adequate supply of safe, affordable, and nutritious food. We want to eliminate the worry and struggle of putting a meal on the table, because no one should have to face food insecurity in this day and age.

But our mission continues beyond there. We also focus on social planning, which involves raising awareness and understanding of the urgent and emerging social issues that plague our community. We know that actual change starts with acknowledgement and education. By working alongside all sectors of society, we aim to find practical and sustainable solutions to these pressing issues. By unifying our efforts, we believe we can create a community where everyone feels safe, supported, and empowered.

These goals are close to our hearts because we understand the immense impact they can have on the lives of individuals and families. We have witnessed the transformative power of access to nutritious food and the profound effects of a supportive and inclusive community. It is this understanding that drives us to work tirelessly towards enhancing the quality of life for all residents of hasting and prince Edward County.
