Established in 1989, the Community Development Council of Quinte (CDC-Quinte) is a non-profit, charitable organization encompassing all of Hastings & Prince Edward Counties. We have an overarching goal to be a recognizable and visible presence in the community that identifies urgent and emerging social issues, while providing programs and services that positivity impacts the quality of life and health of community members.

Through social planning and research, the CDC identifies urgent and emerging social issues and aims to heighten community awareness to the needs of its members. The Task Force on Hunger and Quality of Life Index Project are just two examples of social planning and research undertaken by the Council.
