Community Rocks mission is to Celebrate, Educate and Empower Youth and Communities through Music, Arts, Wellness and Give Back programs. Partnering with neighbors, businesses and community organizations our purpose is to provide creative, active & performing arts education, give-back opportunities and wellness to low-income families with historically underserved youth, high-income families with historically privileged youth and everyone in between. Our vision is for all kids, families and folks in every neighborhood to have safe spaces to express, create, perform, learn laugh, love, strenghthen, serve and celebrate community because COMMUNITY ROCKS!
Community Rocks Corp. was founded out of Studio LuLoo, a creative, performing and healing arts space that brought together families and folks, young and old, to express themselves through music, art and yoga. Believing in the power of arts and wellness to feed the human spirit, we wanted to make it accessible to everyone and under one roof. "LuLoo" as it was called was a community center by day hosting kids classes and camps and a music venue by night hosting bands and performers from around the country and different parts of the globe.
Community Rocks! NJ also hosts another site/mantra - I Really Like NJ (a play on words since NY took the "I LOVE") which offers merchandise to help raise funds for CR and also as an entity to host events that benefit Community Rocks! NJ.
