CSA is a non-profit organization whose mission is to be the safety net for the most vulnerable members of our community. We have been meeting the needs of low-income, houseless or housing insecure, and elderly residents of Mountain View, Los Altos, and Los Altos Hills sine 1957. CSA is fully supported by philanthropic giving and public and private grants. With these funds, CSA provides programs such as:
- Emergency assistance for rent and utility bills for residents facing eviction
- Case management for houseless residents to help secure housing, benefits, healthcare, etc.
- Food and Nutrition Center, which receives donations from local grocery stores and farmer's markets to ensure clients have fresh, culturally-diverse groceries 5 days a week
- Senior services and senior case management to ensure elderly clients can remain healthy and happy at home as long as possible, including providing transportation to appointments, hot lunches at the Mountain View Senior Center, etc.
- Outreach and Engagement team that ensures vulnerable residents are educated on CSA's services and other county services they may qualify for
