Mission: To empower and strengthen a diverse population of high need youth and their families by providing comprehensive youth development through education, employment training, advocacy, and other support services.

The Community Youth Center of San Francisco was founded in 1970 in Chinatown to address the increase in gang violence and juvenile delinquency that caused major concern for the neighborhood. CYC  provided an alternative to street life for Chinatown youth and gave them an outlet to steer their path in a different direction so they can realize their full potential.

CYC eventually grew and expanded outside of Chinatown. Today, CYC operates out of three offices in the Tenderloin, Bayview, and Richmond Districts. Annually over 8,000 youth and 2,000 families are impacted by CYC’s three key services areas that encompass over 40 programs - Health and Wellness, Enrichment and Advancement, and Community Engagement.

The annual gala is CYC’s largest fundraiser of the year where the goal is to raise $100k. The funds raised from the event goes to support all expenses that are not covered under grant support.
