Conejo Elementary is a public school, within the Conejo Valley Unified School District. It is a Leader In Me: Lighthouse School (based on Dr. Steven Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People). Our students are taught personal leadership skills and leadership principles that are incorporated into every element of student learning, from Transitional Kindergarten to 5th grade. This paradigm of leadership empowers students to become agents of positive change in their families, schools, and communities. It also provides students the confidence and skills needed to pursue leadership positions in school and provide diverse representation in leadership positions in the local community.

Conejo Elementary is also a Title 1 school and over 70% of our student populations come from low-income housholds. Many of our students are also English Learners. Our Parent Faculty Association (PFA) regularly hosts a variety of fundraisers, including movie nights, school-wide family dances, and spirit wear sales. We have enthusiastic parent volunteers who donate their time and resources to generate money for our students and staff, as well as compassionate campus staff who volunteer their time to stay on campus after school for these events. Our PFA regularly supports student endeavors, and invaluable services that are offered to our students on campus, including art, field trips, community events, and assemblies with guest speakers.
