Contra Costa Humane Society is a small non-profit cat and dog rescue. Our programs have many purposes that not only care for the well being of homless cats and dogs but also the low income community to help them spay and neuter their pets as well as provide supplemental food and supplies to keep their pets in the family unit. We have the only free roaming cat shelter in Contra Costa County which provides the rescue cats with a living room like setting for them instead of a cage. All of our rescue dogs are all placed in foster homes which allows them to be out of a shelter and into a loving home while they await adoption.
