The mission for our program is to provide an enjoyable introduction to youth hockey for players of all abilities. We aim to teach all skaters the fundamentals of hockey as well as develop their individual skills including: skating, balance, agility, shooting and puck control; all within a
healthy and fun environment. Our program provides the opportunity to play at a level that is appropriate to strengthen your child’s development. Coon Rapids Youth Hockey Association (CRYHA) is a great and affordable way to start playing hockey. We are dedicated to growing our community through youth hockey, having fun and making lifelong friends.
The Coon Rapids Youth Hockey Association will prepare your child to grow into the sport of hockey by teaching them the proper fundamentals of skating and balance, introducing sticks and pucks, as well as give them the building blocks to move on to our Mite, U8 (girls) or traveling programs.
Our program is who we are. We think having kids try something out first makes a lot of sense for parents. To support this, we offer an equipment loan program at no cost to new families so that parents/guardians don't have to commit to buying equipment while their child is just getting started in hockey.
